Calibrating the treadmill definitely makes a difference--it turns out it was setting a zero incline at roughly 1-2% incline, which would explain why I was surprised at how hard everything was. Once it was calibrated, I'm back to being able to jog 5 mph for longer than 30 s. :) I did 2 miles in 25 minutes yesterday, and 3 miles in 38 and change--mixed walking and running, but the goal is to get back to being able to jog the whole thing!
