(no subject)

Um, yeah. Work is super busy, unsurprisingly--adding prepping and teaching a class on top of the current research projects and the drive to develop new projects is kind of a lot, as we expected. We haven't done diddly squat on the house in forever (though I did get the Total Gym unfolded again, so it and the Nordic Track are now functional, woot woot)--actually that's not quite true; the hubby has gotten the "dining room" mostly done, with the new tables and rearranging the books for what should be the final time, and we do have someone coming in to get the fireplace working, this Tuesday. Of course it'll be warmer by then and we may not need it again until next winter, but what the hey, it's the first step we need before getting a new TV and getting it hung above the fireplace; and that is a key part of getting the living room finished.

My brother is in town today and we get to do dinner, yay!
